Rob Alderman – Melbourne Office
Rob has undertaken many consultative roles for Ford Motor Company at
various overseas, interstate and local operations to develop corrective
action/implementation plans. Rob’s management style encouraged
employees to participate and assume ownership of initiatives, which
enabled operating teams to perform to their full potential. Rob was
appointed Operations Manager at Ajax Fasteners and assumed responsibility
for the launch of their new facility integrating the activities from
five individual manufacturing sites (overseas, interstate and local)
into two plants. He undertook a consultancy assignment at a large Victorian
public hospital which entailed defining existing practices from patient
booking to pre-admission clinic, day procedures, through to the operating
theatre, highlighting deficiencies and opportunities.
Tim Alderman – Melbourne Office
Tim Alderman has a Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing Engineering and Graduate
Diplomas in Management and Information Technology. Tim has developed
information systems for Ford Motor Company, Autoliv Australia, Air
International and Olex Cables. In addition to Tim’s ability to
provide cost effective database solutions he has project management,
commissioning, launch and industrial engineering experience. He has
engineered and commissioned new manufacturing facilities and successfully
launched several products. Tim displays strong analytical acumen and
excellent problem solving skills. Tim is currently retained by Olex
Cables and provides essential information systems requirements to meet
their operational needs.
David Gordon – Melbourne Office
David has broad management and consulting experience in retail and supply
chains encompassing liquor, books, grocery, apparel, homewares, fabrics
and automotive components amongst others. Across two decades, David’s
roles have covered restructuring, recovery, change, process improvement
and project management with companies as diverse as AC Nielsen, The
Good Food Co and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). David is comfortable
with the implementation of complex and cross functional business improvement
projects, as well as structural and functional change management projects,
and has a good understanding of what the effects of the project will
be on the overall business processes and structures. He is an experienced
project manager/director well versed in the complexities of leading
cross functional teams. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree and
an MBA, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Greg Heath – Adelaide Office
Greg has extensive senior retail management experience including positions
as National Key Account Manager and General Manager – Retail
in the automotive aftermarket, as well as 5 years experience as CEO
in industrial sector retailing. His experience encompasses managing
large scale national retail networks, franchise development and sales
channel growth as well as business consolidation and the integration
and restructure of newly acquired business. In all his roles, Greg
has developed and implemented customer focused strategic plans which
have delivered strong growth in sales revenue and profitability, created
new sales channels and lifted brand awareness.
Tony Hill – Melbourne Office
Tony is a seasoned Senior Sales Executive in Sales and Business Development
and has more than 20 years experience in sales management and business
planning. Tony’s areas of expertise includes the broad scoping
and management of highly complex industry initiatives across all levels
of government and the private sector. Tony is experienced in negotiating
multi million dollar contracts and acquisitions and has worked with
organisations such as SENSI, Telstra, NEC and the Melbourne Grand Prix

Russell Hutton – Melbourne Office
Russell has held senior management roles including Managing Director/General

Terry A. Mcleod – Hong Kong/Melbourne Office
Terry has more than 20 years experience in procurement and logistics
and has a strong mechanical engineering background. He has held senior
procurement positions with organisations such as Repco, Ingersoll-Rand
Australia, Davey Pumps, Black & Decker and Orica and is experienced
in the automotive, mining, homewares, power tools and chemical industries.
Terry has extensive experience in the set up of offshore planning and
logistics departments for production, international purchasing and
logistics, following large scale JV’s between Australian and
Chinese Companies.
Alistair [Sam] Matheson – Adelaide Office
Sam has in depth experience gained over 3 decades working with a range
of organisations in management, consulting and business development
roles. As a consultant, Sam has specialist skills working across a
range of service providers and on specialised projects including the
development and establishing of franchise systems. Sam also has a strong
real estate background in marketing, sales and leasing, he is a retained
advisor to a large NFP aged care provider and is a member of the Minister
for Housing’s Strategic Advisory Committee. Sam has a Certificate
of Marketing from RMIT, he is a Licensed Real Estate Agent and a board
member of many NFP, industry and business associations.
Andrew Meakin – Sydney Office
Andrew has over 20 years experience in retail and wholesale funds management,
private banking including advisory stockbroking and financial planning.
Prior to his finance career, Andrew held a number of positions in the
manufacturing and construction industries. Andrew has significant expertise
in business restructuring, product development, corporate finance,
business development and marketing. Andrew has held positions as chief
executive officer plus senor distribution and investment roles for
a number of financial service providers, including the Commonwealth
Bank of Australia. Currently Andrew is a special adviser to one of
Australia’s largest commercial loan originators and is chairman
of an Australian information technology firm. Andrew holds a BA in
Economics and Industrial Relations, Master of Management and an Advanced
Diploma of Financial Services.
Roger Mychajlik – Brisbane Office
Roger’s career has seen him in roles within diverse industries
that required significant restructuring and strategic initiatives to
achieve either substantial growth or profitability. For example, Sunny
Queen, an unlisted public company with revenue of $100m that had not
made profit in 5 years, or Pivot Fertilisers, a 42,000 member co-operative
where Roger served as Group General Manager – Operations for 10
years and was involved in operational rationalisation, business planning
and implementation, cultural change management and operational expense
reduction programs. Roger has also worked as Group Manufacturing Manager
for Kambrook and as Executive Managing Director/CEO for Holyman, Monds
Affleck (HMA) a diversified company with interests in bakeries, flour
mills, stock feed, fish feed, car sales and electrical goods. Roger holds
a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) and a Diploma of Teaching and
is a Fellow of Australian Institute of Company Directors as well as a
Member of the Institution of Engineers, Australia.
Geoff Norcott – Melbourne Office
Geoff has extensive management experience having spent 15 years with
Ford, followed by 14 years as the Director of Diversified Products
at Repco. Whilst at Repco, Geoff developed and executed strategies
to close, joint venture and/or sell non-core businesses. Geoff went
on to become Group Vice President of Assa Abloy in the UK, which involved
numerous joint ventures and acquisitions, following that as Executive
Vice President of Assa Abloy AB and President of Assa Abloy Asia Pacific.
Geoff has a Honours Degree in Industrial Engineering.
Craig Padoa – Melbourne Office
Craig has gained much of his retail experience with Pacific Brands, one
of Australia’s leading wholesale and retail companies. Over 6
years, Craig worked in various roles culminating in Divisional Management
responsibilities overseeing a number of categories in such widely recognized
brands as Bonds, Red Robin Socks and Holeproof. As Divisional Manager,
Craig had P&L responsibility that incorporated sales revenue and
profitability, human resources, retail channels, brand management and
marketing and product sourcing and development. Prior to his Divisional
Management responsibilities, Craig was a Manager in the Pacific Brands
Change Program, Brave New Way that incorporated Bain & Co methodologies,
As part of the Change Program, Craig focused on change management,
turn around, and strategy and implementation on projects that included
complexity reduction, working capital management, realignment of brands
to customer requirements, and a sourcing program incorporating cost
benefit analysis and trial to bulk order processing. Prior to joining
Pacific Brands, Craig spent 4 years as European Marketing Manager for
the Protégé Group, a London based venture capital company.
Craig holds a Bachelor of Business degree and an MBA from Melbourne
Business School.
Joe Perera – Melbourne Office
Joe has held CFO and VP positions across a range of industries including
pharmaceuticals and manufacturing. As CFO for Assa Abloy Asia Pacific
Joe oversaw the growth in the company from A$270M to A$550M in a period
of 5 years and was responsible for the integration of improved performance
management systems, budgeting and planning processes. Joe has specialist
experience in the translation of manufacturing from high cost countries
to China and the implementation of systems to facilitate e-business,
sharing services across multiple international sites for significant
cost and efficiency improvements. Joe has successfully completed 11
acquisitions in Australia, New Zealand, Korea and China totaling A$340M,
the integration of these entities, the structuring of taxation benefits,
the implementation of compliance programs, the managing of cost reductions
and profit improvements. Joe is a CPA, an associate Member of the Chartered
Institute of Cost & Management Acc. UK. and has a Post Graduate
Diploma in Accounting and Finance and a Graduate Diploma in Management.
Gerald Saltman – Sydney Office
Gerald was the CEO of the Hunter Douglas Group for 15 years and was responsible
for the turnaround of the company into a very profitable organisation
and a market leader in Australia. Gerald is a “hands on” manager,
leading by example and is very entrepreneurial and customer focussed.
He was inducted into the Blindmakers’ Hall of Fame in 2004, which
is the highest award in the industry. Prior to his role at Hunter Douglas,
Gerald helped establish an acrylic bath and spa bath manufacturing
business from grass roots, and this business became the market leader
in a few years. Gerald is a practical and down to earth manager, easy
to work with, very results orientated and works with a high degree
of urgency. Gerald holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting
and an MBA(USA) in Marketing, and is the author of “Franchising
the 18 cent Hamburger”, a study of the McDonalds and other fast
food business models in the USA. A past competitive swimmer and water
polo player at international level, Gerald continues to work out in
swim squads.
Ian Richards – Melbourne Office
As Senior Manufacturing Manager of Kodak Australia, Ian re-engineered
processes to significantly improve productivity and the quality of
both film and packaging for domestic and overseas markets. He also
introduced new, highly automated equipment to enhance productivity.
Ian holds an Engineering Degree.
Gary Tescher – Melbourne Office
Gary was the founder and CEO of Newtronics Pty Ltd. Gary created this
electronics company from a shell to annual sales of A$30M per annum,
employing 150 people and holding 80% of the market share. Gary has
also led projects in mergers, acquisitions and operations improvement.
Gary has a solid understanding of the telecommunications and manufacturing
industry, restructuring many Telco’s, multinational manufacturing
and service companies owned by large overseas organisations. Gary holds
an MBA and an Engineering Degree.
Brian Treadwell – Melbourne Office
Brian’s career has been predominantly in the automotive industry
with 35 years of management experience in both the UK and Australia.
The majority of that time was spent managing Manufacturing Engineering
Groups with responsibilities for new product manufacturing and planning
involving tooling, facilities and plant engineering. Major projects included
the design, engineering and installation of a complex, flexible assembly
operation involving robotics with integrated conveyor systems. It was
awarded the highest Australian Quality Award and, more importantly, reduced
operating costs by $25M over 2 years.
Brian White – Melbourne Office
Ex-Manufacturing Director of Electrolux and Lockwood, Brian has increased
profitability significantly through process re-engineering / restructuring
of resources and negotiation with militant unions for both business
units. Brian has also renegotiated supply agreements with significant
savings to the client while simplifying the reporting structures in
many organisations, saving a significant amount of money. Brian holds
an Engineering and Management Degree.
